Praise news: Our God still provides. October,2014
Eric Atie, Pastor of the Church at Naadema, Builsa, has a son called Moses. Moses after completing high school couldn’t go to the University because his father (Eric) couldn’t afford to pay the fees. Moses went to Accra to get a job as a security man. In the course of his duty, a man approached him, asked him his name and told him he was too young to be a security man. Moses said: ” that is true. But I have no choice.” Then Moses told the man about how he completed high school with good grades but couldn’t continue his education. The man listened to him patiently and offered to pay for his University education. Eric said our unknown friend paid Moses’ school fees and sent him shopping for school.
As I listened to the story, few questions came to mind: where did this man come from? Why was he there at the very hour Moses was on duty? Why did he engage Moses in a conversation? Why did he have the desire to help Moses? He doesn’t know him…and many more. Someone might say: well, that is just sheer coincidence or an accident. But, I see the invisible hand of our Lord directing and orchestrating events.
As Eric told me this story, he said he was overwhelmed by God’s goodness and that there was no word that could express his thanks to God as he knows this can only be God at work. So, we join them in thanking the Lord for his provisions.
